Mahal kong Pilipinas…

211879583_0fa2e0a600
In many ways, my relationship with my country is like my relationship with my family. There are days when I am extremely proud to be Pinoy. Then, there are other days, just like those moments of extremely parental angst or sibling animosity-when i just want to fly away, cut all my ties, and never look back..
This is where i born and raised; where i spent my wonderful childhood days; where i stumbled, fell, made mistakes, and learned about life. Wherever else i may go in the future, it is here where my heart was formed. However I look at my life, it has the Philippines etched all over it — and that’s not always a bad thing.

Moving into a new Apartment!

moving
Moving into a new apartment can seem overwhelming, but with some organization and planning ahead, it can go off without a hitch. With planning and organization before the move, you can be sure to keep track of all your possessions, and make the move go more smoothly. Here are some steps to moving into your apartment safely.
1. Give away anything that you no longer use or need to avoid moving unnecessary items.
2.Collect all of the moving supplies like boxes, markers, tape and other packing materials. Pack up all your possessions and mark each box with a description of what is inside. Keep all small valuables with you.
3.Call your utility, telephone, cable/satellite and Internet providers about transferring service to your new address no less than two weeks before your move. Remember to tell them your move-in date at the new location.
4.Collect all of your keys together and give them to the landlord. Have the locks changed at your new home or apartment immediately. Some landlords will require that you pay to have the locks changed at your new location.
5.Transport all your possessions into the new apartment. Do not leave high-price goods like stereos or televisions alone in plain sight. Move them in quickly, or hide them under blankets so as not to attract the attention of a would-be thief.
6.Tell your service providers you have moved into the new apartment, and test to see that all utilities are working properly.

Moving to a new apartment doesn’t have to be a stressful experience if you plan and prepare. Whether relocating to a new city or moving down the block.
