I feel the time is getting close,
When we will have to part.
Ill show that I’ll miss you,
With last words from my heart.

We must be dreaming,
For it has gone to fast.
The time we have spent together,
Will soon be in our past.

I’ll forget this day is coming,
Today I stand here.
Trying to tell you,
How much I really care.

We’ll go our seperate ways,
And I’ll make it if I try.
Just hold on to our memories,
Say Never, Say Goodbye!!!

Have I ever told you
that if I sit really still and silent,
sometimes. I like to think
I can hear your heart beating
in time with mine?

Have I ever told you
that when I watch you speak to me
through lines and cords,
and bytes and ram,
I imagine
your voice,
whispering into my ear?

Have I ever told you
that I wait out each day
in anticipation,
wanting
only an hour or two,
just a second in space and time,
to feel close to you?

Have I ever told you
that sometimes,
I will reach out,
touching your name
on this cold screen before me,
wishing
I could reach in
and pull you to me?

Have I ever told you
that after the first time I heard
the sound of your voice,
thousands of miles away,
I sat up all night,
turning the conversation over and over
in my mind,
examining it,
like some newly discovered species of flower?

Have I ever told you
that I would give everything up,
just for one night
to be able to lay near you,
to feel your chest rise and fall
with each breath you take,
just to know that you are real?

Have I ever told you
that I dream of you often,
I dream of you reaching out
and touching my hand,
simply to let me know
that you are there,
and everything is okay?

Have I ever told you,
have I still yet to tell you . . .
that I love you?

To My Friend
This is not for any special reason.
I say this “just because.”
I noticed that a certain friend needed a thank you.
For all the sweet things he does.

I think you’re special and I never want to lose you.
I’m glad you’re my best friend.
I know I never could have made it without you.
You’re the greatest: Where would I be without you?

Because you stood by me
Through the hard times.
And I cried on you
Through the sad times.
We can make it through
Because we two are friends.

Just look at all the ups and downs we’ve seen together.
Yep, we’ve been through it all.
You can rely on me in any kind of weather.
I’ll catch you if you fall.

I know you’re special and I never want to lose you.
I’m glad you’re my best friend.
The way you’ve helped me is the way I want to help you.
You’re the greatest: Who would I be without you?

So I will stand by you
